Some say it's a genetic thing.
When those patriots
dumped
that tea
in Boston Harbor,
they rearranged
the nucleotides
in
our tea-making
chromosomes.
The American Revolution
was
only a minor consequence.
The loss of
ability to make a good cup of tea
was forever imprinted.
We were
doomed
to
the frenetic pace
of
our pounding blood.
